galantamine & choline 4th attempt
This went much better than previous attempts. I was calmer - nothing quite as exciting - but I was able to drift in and out of several mini-dreams but nothing spectacular. I was mildly aware of my wife getting up to shut off the alarm and my teenage son could be heard talking loudly in the background but I was only 1/2 sure that that wasn't part of my dreaming. I awoke when the alarm went off but felt I could stay drifting in and out of dreams all morning. When I awoke, I had confirmed that my wife and teenager were engaging in loud discussion.

Update - attempt #3
A couple nights ago I tried dreamins for the 3rd time. Still no luck but more interesting results than the first two times.I thought I'd cut the dosage in half. I got up around 2 and took the 1/2 dose. Similar to the 1st attempt, I felt motion, but this time it was faster like I was being stretched out into space. I did perceive flames to be engulfing me briefly. It was not necessarily pleasant. I tried to wait it out, but I think I may have also been trying to force myself into the dream. I ended up lying in bed awake like the 1st time, decided to try another dose, which only lead to some fake sleep like the first time- involving Tommy V. and a radio and flipping through stations and him being made because he was listinening to the disney station and I couldn't get it back.

Galantamine / Choline 3/13/09
My second experience with Galantamine / Choline was not as interesting as the first. Again I went to bed after 10 PM, and was up after aprox. 4 hours. I took the same dosage as last time. Similar to last time I found myself very alert through most of the rest of the night... I was aware of most of the stages of sleep, but had few freams or even imagery. I finally found myself dreaming that I was sleeping at my old bedroom at the house at Royal Oak, and I could hear my son cursing and swearing upstairs. I may have had a false awakening which lead to half-dream involving me and a car in front of an unfamiliar house. I may try melatonin next time as well just to see if that improves anything.

Spooky Electric
Well, last night was the night of the time change.
I went to bed before 10:30 and I woke up before 3:30 (that's only 4 hours because of the time change)
I decided to take a couple of the "dreamins" which equals 8g Galantamine, 400mg Choline.
I waited aprox. 5 minutes before returning to bed to make sure I was awake- I didn't want to fall asleep to soon. I rested on my back for less than twenty minutes. I switched to my right side, and was still awake after aprox. an hour so I switch to the left side. I ended up unable to fall asleep for a couple hours. Eventually some imagery started coming to me, but it was brief. I believe it was around 5:30 when I found myself half-asleep and in a dream:
My wife and I were riding down a long dark road at night. I was the passenger. She was talking about having found a book downstairs tucked in the side of the bed that was mine, and how I should have been more careful hiding it, because the kids might have found it. I'm not sure exactly what the book was, although I realized I had not finished it, and had forgot about it, and was sort of excited that my wife had found it. Next, I am staring at the road ahead as it is coming towards us... sort of like that clip in David Lynch's "Lost Highway"- there are these kids, or perhaps supernatural creatures in the road ahead... I am concerned we are going to run into them, but Angie just keeps on driving right through and around them. I see a creature in a white robe- and I am concerned. I try to use my power over the dream to bring light but the next thing I know I am just staring down at an empty barren dark road as it passes by me. Everything goes black and I feel entire body flying through space in a 360 degree spin- like a dive..... I feel that I am about to go into a dream, but I open my eyes while I am spinning. I am thinking I shouldn't open my eyes, because now I am awake... and I am awake and my wife is in bed next to me. At first, I think she may have been talking to me in bed, but then I realize it was just the dream.
I was lying on my right side when I entered the dream.
